Lullaby stood by the side of the ship, glancing around. She had her hand at her mouth, her curled finger just barely touching her lower lip. She looked torn between daring to meet people, or just staying there and waiting until the captain or someone showed her where the kitchen was.
"Hey, you!" Lulla squeaked and glanced over at the man (Jay) besides her. He shoved a rope into her hand. "Hold that for me, will ya?" He grabbed another one and starting tying it around the railing of the ship, pulling it taunt. He glanced up slightly. "You're the new cook, aye?" He asked.
"U-um..." She murmured.

Leon walked out onto the deck and leaned against the railing, shouting over to Jay. Make sure it's tied tight down there Moon, there's a high tide coming in and I don't my ship disappearing off the coast.
He caught sight of the girl standing on the deck and looked startled momenterily before composing himself again. He lifted himself from the railings and stepped confidentely towards her. he held out one hand. I'm Captain Dagger. I hope that Moonfeathers was not harsh towards you. He can be nice...honestely. He gave a smirk in his lieutenants direction. He turned his gaze back to the girl and gave a soft, encouraging smile.

"Oh, since when have I let the ship get washed away?" Jay called back up. The girl blinked at Leon, then slowly took his hand and shook it very softly.
"Good morning, Captain." She said. She had a strange accent, one never heard before, but it was a prettier accent than most, her words gliding together gracefully out of her mouth.

Leon smiled as the girl spoke and shook his hand softly. He tried to interpret her accent but with no luck. He smiled to her then led her away. He pointed to a nearby door, Through there is the kitchen and your hammock is in the Hold with the others.

"Alright." Lullaby blinked.
"Maybe we'll finally get some good food around here." Jay said, coming up behind them. The girl turned to glance at him. "What's your name again?"
"Lullaby. But I prefer if you call me Moongrave." Jay choked slightly, then starting coughing. The girl took a step back, looking frightened. "You don't have to if it offends you." She said quickly. Jay stared at her for a second, then without saying anything he turned and hurried below deck. Lulla put her hand to her mouth, glancing at the captain. "Did I say something?" She whispered uncertainly.

Leon shook his head. Don't think anything of it. Glad to have you aborad Moongrave. He looked after his friend worriedly. I'll leave you to get acquainted with the ship. You have any questions feel free to ask. With that he left, following after Jay. He grabbed his leiutenants arm.

Jay wheeled around, tensing, before realizing it was only Leon. "Yes, captain?" He asked, forcing himself to relax.

Leon looked at him confused, You mean because the first part of her ship name is Moon like yours? Lot's of people like the moon and so she probably chose it 'cause of that.[/color]

"No, it sounds familiar." Jay shrugged, then pulled away from Leon and started towards his room. "I'm staying away from that girl." He muttered to himself under his breath.

Leon scowled at his friend and lieutenant's back. He was sorely tempted to go and bug him until he told him what it was about. But, he remembered that he himself had not been truthful about his own past and so he decided to let Jay decided when he was ready to talk about it.
