Tom slowly awoke as the bright light streamed in through the window. It took him a few minutes to realise where he was but the events of last night soon flooded back to him and he gasped, flying up from the sofa. He ran to the window and peered out, all clear. Everything seemed to have been quiet throughout the night but just to make sure, he crept over to Addy's room, his bare feet padding silentely across the floor. He stood in the doorway and smiled as he saw her sleepin peacefully. As he waited he debated whether or not he should leave now and let her sleep. He decided against that. Addy's wrath if he wer to leave would not be something fun to face against. A slight breeze blew across his bare torso and he looked around Addy's room, noticing slight cracks, he would have to do something about them.

Addy departed from her deep slumber when Shep nuzzled her to notify her of something. He didn't seem urgent; he probably wanted to go outside to explore or relieve himself. She wiped the sleep from her eyes slowly then peered about. Seeing Tom, she jumped slightly, exclaiming, Oh! and jumping out of bed. Clutching her head from the resulting head rush, she asked him through her hands, Been up long? Sorry, I usually wake up at dawn... I was really tired after last night... I usually go to bed early so I can make the morning shift at Roy's but it's my day off today. she explained, then shut up to hear his answer.
Shep emitted a low noise that sounded to Addy a lot like a chuckle. Oh, quiet you! she said, throwing a pillow at the dog. He grabbed it in his teeth and set it down, then laid his shaggy head on it as though he'd been innocent the whole time. Addy turned to Tom and grinned warily. Have a good night's sleep? she asked softly, leaning against the bed.

Tom shook his head, No, only just got up really. He moved forwards, rubbing Shep's head as he passed. it was alright, how about you? Sleep well? You certainly looked peaceful.

((that's got to be the shortest post ever))
Better than you probably... i wish you had been a good friend and dutifully given me the couch. she said, smiling up at him. She smoothed her hair, hoping it didn't look too bad, but not caring too much. It's not like my appearance is going to make him like me any differently. she told herself. She knew that it would take a miracle and a half for Tom to like someone like Addy... young, naive, and innocent in his eyes. Addy didn't think she was any of those things, but it probably seemed that way to Tom.
And she was happy with the friendship they had. She could be grateful for what she could get. She was ashamed at wanting even more than what Tom had given her; friendship, someone to trust, a familiar face. He was like a brother to her, but she was selfish and wanted his heart on top of everything he'd given her.
So what are we going to do today? she asked, including herself in his plans without thinking.

Tom thought carefully, placing all thoughts of the ship and the guys from last night to one side. He was probably just being paranoid. He sighed.
Well Miss Addy, I just don't know...unless...
He remembered times where they used to simple wander around town and see where it led them. He smirked as he used their 'special word' for such occasions.
Tatts?
((OOC: lol tatts is a word that my friend used for taking her dog on a walk cause if you said walk he'd go mental))

Addy looked down when he said he "just didn't know", expecting him to be too busy for her, worried for her protection, or something to that extent. She tried to hide her disappointment, until his last word was spoken. Her face lit up warmly, and she found his eyes with her own, the smile on her face equally present in her dark blue pools. She sighed happily, Tatts. she agreed. Give me a minute to get dressed and feed the cats, eh? she asked warmly, jumping up enthusiastically, very much the same girl she had been when Tatts had begun. She rushed past him, then rushed back and swept him up into a warm hug. I though you'd forgotten, after all this time... she whispered in his ear, her head resting on his shoulder for a moment before she continued her fast pace walk to feed her pets. She opened the door, allowing the cats who had chosen to remain outside in for their morning meal. Hurry in, darlings. she said, affectionately acknowledging her friends. Shep had jumped up and followed her, and the cats walked by him without blinking an eye. Cats are much more tolerable of dogs when food was about; and Shep was hardly acted like a dog most of the time anyway... Addy fished some...fish (hee, hee ) from her ice box and lifted each of the dishes, filling them with the proper portions for each of the nine cats. She put them down, leaving Shep to watch to make sure that no cat decided its meal wasn't enough and go to another's bowl. Returning to her room, she ran a comb through her tossled hair and shut her door, shedding her night gown for casual pants and shirt. Her quest for comfort outwayed her quest for beauty today. She opened her door again, then let Shep out the front door so he could go about his business. He usually bribed the butcher for an unwanted bone in the morning, after charming the man's three young girls. He and Addy would meet up later, as they did everyday that she didn't work. Ready? she called, standing by the front door, unsure of Tom's exact location in the house. She leaned against the door frame, wide awake and excited but content, even after last night's chaos.

Tom smired as Addy hugged him. He could hardly believe that she thought...no, had expected, him to forget.
What made you think I'd forget about Tatts?
He spoke calmly as he moved towards the door after Addy haddone what she needed, feeding the cats and such like. He smiled, for some reason Addy always managed to look more beautiful when she was in simple comfortable clothes. He quickly shook his head and held out his hand.
Off we go then....erm...where should we start?

Addy heard his question and shrugged. I just know you're a busy man, with a lot going on in life that would distract him from the memory of a child's game. I should have known you'd remember, Tom. You always were above and beyond everyone's expectations.
After she went about her morning routine, and met Tom at the door, he was holding out his hand to her. She gently placed her own in his confusedly, unsure of what he wanted. Was he just gesturing towards the door? Addy's mental cogs whirred and zoomed as they tried to process this event. She smiled sheepishly, and replied, The whole point is that there is no starting place. We've got to follow a random path... Perhaps to somewhere with food. she managed to say, laughing and standing there, with her hand in his. She could feel her cheeks ablaze, but knew not what to do about it. So she gingerly towed the man outside and fished her house key from a pocket, locking the door one handedly. She turned around, facing him, and closed her eyes, breathing in the salty smell of her city. I love Kaiden. she breathed, opening her eyes to observe his own, to see what his reaction might be.
