"Well, it isn't so much complicated to explain, it's just...complicated to tell. I don't know. I don't know what I'm saying." He put a hand on his forehead, closing his eyes and leaning over his desk. What was he thinking? He had this urge to tell Emma, but...but he couldn't. She wouldn't believe him. No one would. He'd be labeled out of his mind and sent off somewhere to live in an insane asylum.

Emma looked away,"Okay, y-you don't have to tell me if you don't want to..." she replied, trying to hide the disappointment in her voice. She had told him about her past, which was hard. But she felt safe with him and felt him to be trust worthy. She realized he just didn't feel the same with herself.

"You wouldn't want to hear it any way. Believe me." Jay whispered, turning to look at Emma. There was a knock at the door. Jay sighed. "Come in." He called, turning as the door opened. He tensed slightly as Moongrave walked in, holding two plates.
"Neither of you have eaten yet." She said quietly, holding out a plate to Emmalina. Jay stepped in front of her, taking the two plates.
"Alright, we'll eat." He said coldly. The girl blinked at him, stepping back and looking sad.
"Okay. Sorry for disturbing you, sir." She said quietly, taking another step back before turning and disappearing out the door, closing it quietly.

"I just...don't like her." Jay muttered, handing Emma a plate. He was slightly annoyed, having told the crewman that he wasn't going to eat, yet Lullaby came any way, and the fact that Emma apparently hasn't eaten as well. "Eat." He ordered.

Emma's eyes hardened, "Excuse me, but I don't think you have the right to order me to eat. And also, just because you don't particularly like someone doesn't mean you can act that way towards them. She is a human being after all. What did she even do?" she asked.

"As your lieutenant, I order you to eat." Jay said, raising his eyebrows and crossing his arms. He said nothing about his behavior towards the girl. He was still uncertain about her. She acted innocent, but then again, so had he...

Emma stood up to gain more hight to confront Jay, which still did no good, since she was relatively small in the first place. Emma glared at him as she spoke coolly and calmly, "Well, as your doctor I must order you to eat your food to keep up your strength. You did, as I recall quite clearly, have an extremly high fever." she replied.

"That was a long time ago." Jay retorted. Okay, so it was only a couple days ago. But that was long enough for him. He glared down at Emma. "Besides, I keep up my strength just fine. Have been fine working like this for several years now. Nothing is going to change."

Emma kept her gaze steady,"Don't be a hypocrite, Moon. I am just as capable at eating as you are. I am a doctor after all, I think I can nourish myself."
Emma felt a little hurt by Jay's actions toward her, she had been sexually assaulted, not starving on the streets.

"I never said you couldn't." Jay said, clenching his teeth. "Maybe you can nourish yourself, but you obviously can't defend yourself. I only take the captain's orders." He hissed, before charging out of the room, fists flexed. His brain was fogged again. Why couldn't he think?! He could always think! "DAMMIT!" He spat, slamming his fists into one of the walls. Several crew men around him jumped, then quickly scuttled out of his way as he turned and headed towards the kitchen. He wouldn't be able to rest until he knew about the new girl.

Emma looked down at the floor after Jay left, tears welling up in her eyes. She sat on the floor and started to cry silently. Emma couldn't understand why he was acting so intolerant. She wondered about the new girl, was she a part of why he was so angry? Emma shook her head, she was just trying to find something or someone else to put the blame on. She was always the reason thing went wrong or bad. She contemplated what to do as she glared at the plate of food on the ground. "This is all your fault." she hissed.

Jay burst into the kitchen, almost running into Lullaby. Angrily he shoved her against the wall. "What the hell do you want?!" He hissed. "Why are you on my ship?! Of all the ships!"
"I-I'm the cook, r-remember, s-sir?" The girl stammered, eyes wide with fright.
"NO! Why does my past keep taunting me?! Did he send you? Did he?! Leave my crew alone, you hear me?!" He growled. The girl started hyperventilating, tears threatening to come.
"S-sir, I-I'm sorry, w-whatever I d-did." She wailed softly. Jay let go of her, recoiling as if she was poison.
"You don't...know what I'm...talking about, do you?" He asked, breathing heavily. The girl shook her head, then screamed when Jay collapsed to the ground.

Emma got up as she picked up the dishes of food. She started heading toward the kitchen to clean up the meals when she heard a shriek coming from the kitchen. Emma picked up her pace, her mind racing with thoughts. When she got there she saw Jay lying on the floor, not moving. Now it was Emma's turn to shriek. She dropped the dishes and ran over to the man, crouching over him. She checked his head for cracks and his neck for a pulse. She looked up at Moongrave, "You...girl, please go get me some water, a ladle and cloths... and give me the bottle of green balm---it looks like green goop!" Emma ordered.

"Ah...ah...alr- okay. Yes, ma'am." Lullaby stammered, before running out of the room, then skidding to a stop and running back in. Hurriedly she snatched up a cloth from the counter and the bucket of water she had, dragging it over besides Emmalina, then running out to find the doctors room. The green stuff was in there, right? She glanced around hurriedly, wiping away frightened tears and starting to search through the cabinets frantically.
